Lizzie’s Linebackers is here to support Type 1 Diabetes Awareness & Community. We are a group of Lizzie’s family & friends joining together as a team to walk & raise awareness to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes for unknown reasons. They body stops producing insulin (a hormone that is necessary for living). A person living with T1D not only has to calculate the carbs they take in, but they also have to calculate the amount of insulin they need to inject themselves with.
